Samadhaan 2020: An All-India Painting Competition

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2020, Evara Foundation organized an all India drawing/painting competition. Aim of the competition was to increase awareness about disability and persons with disabilities among the school students. The event was open for students of 6th to 10th standards from all schools of India. Schools from all corners of the country participated in the competition.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Evara Foundation organized an all India drawing/painting competition. This competition was aimed at increasing awareness about disability and persons with disabilities among the school students. The event was open for students of 6th to 10th standards from all schools of India. Schools from all corners of the country participated in the competition. Mr. Lalit Kumar “Samyak Lalit”, Chairman of Evara Foundation said that a virtual exhibition of selected paintings shall be set up on www.evara.org. The subject of this competition was “Inclusion of Students with Disabilities” and the event was titled “Samadhan 2020”.

Announcing the results, the project coordinators Smt. Sharda Sumand and Ms. Madhuram Aparajita said that Adya Singh and Arjun Pratap Singh from class 6th; Neelanjana Maggo and Akshayanshi Singh from class 7; Kiran from class 8th; Kratika Pandey, Avishi Bansal from class 9th and Gaurav, Simran, Pinky, and Manan Jain from class 10th were selected as winners of the competition. Detailed results will be available on the Evara website. The students will be provided with certificates and gift hampers.

Mr. Kumar said that students made paintings touching various aspects of disability and the lives of disabled people. There are some paintings showing problems faced by persons with disabilities and then some other artworks depict the solutions for these problems. It is heartening to see that the sensitivity is developing among students for all sections of society.
